Biography 1994- 2010 The early  years

Hailing from South Gate, California.  DJ Abel AKA Abel Djay now, was first introduced to gabber house  music in the summer of 1993. Abel's first influences were Dyewitness, TNT, criminal mind, Bald terror, Rotterdam termination source, Human resource, Speedy J, Joey Beltram, Hocus pocus and many other Dutch, German, Belgium, Italian and US producers. He was also very influenced by the early releases coming from ZYX records, Watts music,downtown,!hype and later Rotterdam Records, Mokum, Ruffneck,Terror tracks, Knor, Master Maximum or anything distributed by Mid Town in Holland.

1993 also brought the fascination of spinning. Starting at local house parties and some of the early warehouse break inn parties in South Central,East L.A and Compton area better known as the "Underground Latin Scene" from 1993 to 1997, he was then known as DJ SKIDD after his graffiti name "Skider". Abel has been in following of the Los Angeles hardcore scene and has taken part in it's early development.In 1999 Abel established his name once again with the help of DJ Menphisto,creator of the "Free Daytime Hardcore gatherings". Finding himself quickly becoming resident to all the Hardcore gathering events and also part of PLANETCORE. Lost fact Also in 1999 abel entered the legendary power tools dj contest hosted  by famous Fm radio station  power 106. Out of nearly 300 dj's that enter that year Richard Humpty Vission named DJAY ABEL of the top 40 dj's that year .

Thrugh out the years abel found himself playing along side such great legendary's hardcore dj's such as Dr.z.vago, Miss flower, Hellfish, Tommy knocker, Shodowland terrorists, DJ Dione, Akira, Evil activities, DJ Ruffneck, The Horrorist, Omar Santana, Ron d core, Demigod, Rob Gee, Dj Tron (R.I.P), Delta 9, Delirium and many others great US and european hardcore dj's.Abel also been knowed in producing small intimate hardcore partys like QUASAR in 1996, Phychosis, DISTORTION 1&2,ULTRABASS and EAR DAMAGE 1& 2 a new series of daytime events. To all the way making memorable dj apperances at LAW & DISORDER 1, 2, 4.
Headstrong 4, Nocturnal Wonderland 2004 and many other raves from 1995 -2010. Great memories!!
 

2011-2012

Taking a small break from raving and dj-ing. In March of 2011 AbeLDjay, real name Abel. After many years of dj-ing, decided to switch pads and take the next progression into a career in music production and remixing. Armed with minimal skills in music production, decided to start working towards starting & finishing a project debut album going back to his original roots of minimal dance electronic house music.

"As a young kid growing up in the club & rave scene in L.A in the 90's. Being exposed to many genres of minimal house, trance & techno. Remembers vividly being influenced by early producers from Detroit, Chicago, New York and Europe" and now for the past couple of years with the fusion of music being so infinite and producers stretching electronic oscillators to the max. In the near future Abel Djay hopes to come out with a style of minimal house & electro, hopefully liked by many clubers from all over the globe. the journey has barely begun. Some influences are, In no particular order of importance. Moby, Robert Armani, Armand van Helden, Paul Johnson, Josh wink, George Acosta and more recent David Guetta, DeadMou5, Afrojack, Wolfgang gartner, Swedish House Mafia, Bass jackers, Swanky tunes, Sidney Samson and so many others. Is unfair to named just a few. Be in the look out for late 2011 and 2012 as Abel Djay hopes to makes a splash onto the scene world wide.
